Newmark Hotels, Residences, Reserves & Lodges is adding the Mount Camdeboo Private Game Reserve, a 34,500-acre reserve located in South Africa's Great Karoo region, to its hospitality portfolio. Newmark will take the reins in managing the property, working side by side with Mount Camdeboo, on May 1.

Mount Camdeboo is privately owned by the Buchanan family, who have developed this property from agricultural farmland into a game reserve where wildlife, including endangered species, are able to roam freely. The reserve will soon be classified Big Five terrain as plans are in place to introduce lion sand elephants to the reserve in upcoming months as part of Mount Camdeboo's conservation efforts.

Accommodations at Mount Camdeboo comprise:

Camdeboo Manor:  A manor that dates back to the early 1800s and consists of four bedrooms, a dining room with a fireplace, a secluded courtyard and a swimming pool.

Peppertree Cottage: A spacious cottage located in Camdeboo Manor's gardens that sleeps two and features a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom, a kitchenette, a fireplace and a private garden.

Hillside Manor: A modern mountain retreat for exclusive use that dates back to the 1900s and comprises three en-suite bedrooms and a private swimming pool.

Courtyard Manor:  A double-gabled homestead that dates back to the late 1700s. The property offers four bedrooms as well as a swimming pool.

Safari Tents: Two luxurious tents, raised on wooden decks and overlooking the seasonal Melk River.

Newmark is the management company for a selection of luxury hotels, residences, reserves and lodges in Africa. The collection includes a number of properties in Cape Town,  including the famous Victoria and Alfred Hotel and the Manor House, and also includes private game reserve offerings in Mpumalanga, Timbavati and Serengeti.
