Shipwreck Lodge in the Skeleton Coast National Park in Namibia's Kunene region is expected to open in June.

Located between the Hoarusib and Hoanib rivers in the park, the lodge will be the first to be built on the coast and will provide a gateway for desert adventures.

Each of the lodge's 10 rooms has been constructed to resemble the shipwrecks that line the beach. There are eight twin or double rooms and two family tents, all ensuite and solar-powered.

Shipwreck Lodge is owned by the Sesfontein Conservancy in a joint venture with Journeys Namibia, Trip Travel and Natural Selection.
