Wilderness Safaris announced it is rebuilding the Serra Cafema Camp, one of the most remote camps in southern Africa, located in the extreme northwest of Namibia. Renovations are planned for the first half of 2018, with the camp closing from Jan. 15 to June 15 in 2018.
The new Serra Cafema Camp will be 100% solar-powered to ensure minimal impact on its pristine desert location. It will remain an intimate, peaceful camp, comprising only eight riverside villas.
"Inspiration for the new camp will be drawn from the exceptional desert location and the local Himba culture; we look forward to sharing further information and details about our architectural and decor plans in the coming months," said Mike Wassung, Wilderness Safaris Namibia managing director.
