A new partnership between Botswana's Mashatu Game Reserve and South Africa's Quoin Rock Wine Estate offers travelers a combined safari and wine country experience across two countries.
The Wilderness to Winelands program connects Mashatu's 42,000-hectare private wilderness, known for Southern Africa's largest private reserve elephant population and frequent big cat sightings, with the acclaimed Quoin Rock estate in Stellenbosch, 45 minutes from Cape Town.
Three package options are available:
• Mashatu Euphorbia Villas paired with Quoin Rock Manor House
• Mashatu Kolokolo Safari Home with Quoin Rock Manor House
• Mashatu Shalimpo Safari Home combined with Knorhoek Farmhouse.
The Mashatu portion features walking safaris, cycling adventures and wildlife viewing from an underground hide. At Quoin Rock, guests enjoy wine tastings, gourmet picnics and dining at Gate Restaurant, with panoramic views of the Cape Winelands from the Manor House.
