Needle-phobic travelers can breathe a sigh of relief as the World Health Organization has amended the validity of the Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate to a lifetime with immediate effect. In short, this mean that the certificate will no longer expire.

The validity amendment applies to both existing and new certificates. So, even if the certificate indicates that it is “expired,” travelers will no longer need a revaccination or a booster shot to enter countries that require the certificate.
