The Anchorage Museum and Alaska Farm Tours founder Margaret Adsit are offering a harvest-focused farm outing on Sept. 7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Guests will take a coach from the museum to the Mat-Su Valley, where stops at three farms spotlight the agricultural diversity of rural Alaska. Guests will see how farmers have built a regional food system despite challenges related to climate and terrain, and learn more about the crops that thrive in this part of the state.

Lunch is included in the $100 per-person ticket price. Reservations are required.

The tour is presented in conjunction with the What Why How We Eat exhibition, open at the Anchorage Museum through Jan. 12.
