The Alaska Zoo's annual Zoo Lights celebration is now open, bringing seasonal music and festive lights to trails throughout the Anchorage facility.
Displays are illuminated from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursdays through Sundays, through March 3. Extended hours will be added during the late-December holidays.
The nonprofit Alaska Zoo provides a home for orphaned, injured and captive-born animals and promotes the conservation of Arctic and sub-Arctic species. Admission and exhibit information is at www.alaskazoo.org.
