Joining the ranks of Las Vegas resident performers are one of rock 'n' roll's most legendary acts: the Who.
Caesars Palace and AEG Live announced March 13 that the famed British band will play an exclusive residency at the Colosseum this summer. The Who will kick off their headlining gig July 29 and play subsequent shows Aug. 1, 4, 7, 9 and 11.
The Who, who currently include founding members Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend, are the first rock band to hold a residency at Caesars Palace's famed concert hall, which opened with Celine Dion in 2003. While other theaters and showrooms have hosted rock headliners — most notably the Joint at the Hard Rock, which has welcomed Guns ' N' Roses and Journey, among others — the Colosseum has focused primarily on pop and country acts as well as individual performers: Elton John, Cher, Mariah Carey and Rod Stewart.
Tickets for The Who at Caesars Palace range $76-$501 and are currently on sale.
