It's been 20 years since Christina Aguilera shimmied and sung into American pop-culture consciousness with her 1999 single "Genie in a Bottle." Since then, the petite blonde has proven herself a veritable diva, hitting multiplatinum status, winning six Grammy Awards and joining the cast of NBC's "The Voice" as a celebrity coach.
This summer she'll add a new line to her entertainment resume: Las Vegas headliner.
On May 31, Aguilera will debut "Christina Aguilera: The Xperience" at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Following in the footsteps of pop icons like Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez, Aguilera will take over the Stripside concert hall for a series of shows in 2019. So far, 16 dates have been announced from May to October, with tickets on sale now starting at $60.
"For years I have been collecting ideas and concepts that have yet to be implemented on my stages, and Las Vegas is the perfect opportunity for me to collectively showcase my artistry. I cannot wait to bring you into 'The Xperience,'" Aguilera said via press release.
