The Diplomat Beach Resort Hollywood, one of South Florida's largest hotels, reopened June 1, after being shuttered for 14 months.
The 998-room Diplomat Beach's closure at the start of the pandemic was a blow to tourism in Hollywood and southern Broward County.
Operated under the Curio Collection by Hilton banner, the 36-story hotel was until recently the tallest hotel in Broward, and it remains the largest by room capacity. It is a major destination for groups and conventions in South Florida.
Prior to the closing about 650 employees worked at the hotel, which is owned by Brookfield Properties.
