Walt Disney World has canceled its Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party for 2020.

The annual Magic Kingdom celebration was scheduled nightly from Aug. 13 to Nov. 1.

In a statement, Disney said a review of the Halloween party determined that "many of its hallmarks -- stage shows, parades and fireworks -- are unable to take place in this new, unprecedented environment."

Refunds will be processed in the coming weeks for those who have bought tickets, Disney said.

In addition, "due to Covid-19 impacts," Disney has pulled the plug on the remainder of its Disney H2O Glow Nights, scheduled for select nights at the Typhoon Lagoon through Aug. 29.

In their third summer, the extra-admission glow nights were held from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. and featured a DJ-hosted dance party, exclusive event merchandise, and shorter wait times for Typhoon Lagoon attractions.
