Fort Lauderdale is offering a new way to explore its Riverwalk Arts & Entertainment District with a Waterful Tours package, available from May 20 to Oct. 29.
The package, priced at $38 for adults and $20 for children ages 6 to 12, grants guests access to two of three cultural sites (the third can be added at a nominal upcharge) and an all-day pass to ride the city's water taxi.
The three cultural sites offered as part of Waterful Tours are:
• NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale: The hub of the South Florida Art Coast, nestled in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale. NSU Art Museum's permanent collection contains more than 6,000 works. Among its highlights are the country's largest collection of paintings and drawings by the American realist William Glackens; the most extensive holding in the U.S. of works by post-World War II, avant-garde CoBrA artists; and a number of works by leading Latin American artists.

The tours explore parts of the New River in downtown Fort Lauderdale by water taxi.
• Stranahan House Museum: The oldest surviving structure in Broward County, Stranahan House was built in 1901 as the original trading post for the early pioneers and Seminole Indian Tribe. The iconic structure along the New River served as the pioneer settlement's town hall, post office and first bank. Later it became a boarding house and restaurant. The Stranahan family is credited as being Fort Lauderdale's founding family, and the museum offers a glimpse at the city's beginning, the family's legacy and the building itself. The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
• History Museum Fort Lauderdale: The only pioneer village in South Florida with the largest collection of historical buildings in Broward County. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Historical Society offers a unique glimpse into the past with guided tours conducted in period costumes.
Visitors who would like to enjoy the third attraction can simply present their ticket stub at the chosen cultural site admission desk to receive a general admission, one-day ticket for $10 (adults) or $5 (children ages 6 to 12).
