What started as a six-show run has turned into a headlining residency for Frankie Moreno at the Golden Nugget. The downtown hotel and casino on Fremont Street initially booked the veteran singer for a limited engagement, but after a strong opening performance, they've extended his run through August.
Moreno's act features a seven-piece band and backing vocals, taking on a mix of original tracks and covers.
The show is high energy and pays homage to classic Strip musical acts like the Rat Pack while still feeling contemporary and fresh.
Moreno has held recent residencies at Planet Hollywood and the Stratosphere, but deep in his Vegas roots was another gig at the Golden Nugget, where he had played the Rush Lounge some 15 years ago. So this new residency, Thursdays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., inside the resort's Showroom, isn't just a fresh gig, it's also a homecoming of sorts.
Tickets for Frankie Moreno at the Golden Nugget start at $27.
