Comprising 39 towns and 47 miles of beachfront, the Palm Beaches will welcome eight new properties by 2021, including well-known brands and independent, boutique options.
In addition, two existing Palm Beaches hotels -- the Brazilian Court hotel and the Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach -- have recently revealed upgrades, and the Palm Beach Airport has added frequency to several routes as well as flights from seven new destinations.
This past October, the Aloft Delray Beach opened as a 122-room hotel near downtown. The hotel features a WXYZ Bar, an on-site gym and a Re:Fuel by Aloft cafe. Guestrooms are available starting at $149 per night.
In early 2020, the Ben, Autograph Collection by Marriott and Canopy by Hilton, will both open their doors in West Palm Beach.
The Ben will feature 208 rooms and is named in honor of one of the original Palm Beach estate homes, the Ben Trovato, which hosted dignitaries like Woodrow Wilson, the Vanderbilts and others. Guests of the Ben can peruse a library designed to feel as if it has existed a century ago as well as a rooftop pool with private cabanas and fire pit. The Ben, Autograph Collection is now accepting reservations for stays starting in March, with prices starting at $449 per night.
At Canopy by Hilton, just a quick walk from the Palm Beach County Convention Center, the 150-room hotel will feature Banter, a signature Latin-inspired restaurant, as well as Banter Treehouse on the roof of the hotel, offering sweeping views of the Intracoastal Waterway and downtown Palm Beach. Canopy by Hilton is now accepting reservations for stays starting April 21, with prices starting at $249 per night.
In the spring, the Amrit Ocean Resort & Residences will debut on Singer Island. The property will feature 351 units between two towers as well as an outdoor spa featuring a meditation garden and outdoor yoga studio. Additionally, White Elephant, a 32-room boutique hotel in Palm Beach, will open on the corner of Sunset Avenue and Bradley Park in the city’s historic district. Among the units will be two penthouse suites with rooftop terraces. A full-service restaurant, courtyard and pool area are also in the offing.
The Banyan Cay Resort & Golf Club will open in late September, situated on 250 acres of West Palm Beach. The golf-centric resort will feature state-of-the-art practice facilities and Jack Nicklaus’ 300th signature golf course, currently open for members. The hotel will open with 150 guestrooms, two pools and several dining options as well as a 5,000-square-foot wellness center.
Two hotels are scheduled to open in the region in 2021.
The five-star, 158-room Mandarin Oriental, Boca Raton, located downtown, will be the sixth Mandarin Oriental to open in North America and the second in Florida. The property will feature two rooftop pools, fine dining signature restaurants (to be announced), a signature MO Bar + Lounge on the rooftop and the Spa at Mandarin Oriental, with treatments inspired by both European and Asian tradition.
In the summer of 2021, Delray Beach will add the Ray, part of Hilton’s Curio Collection, to its offerings. The hotel will be located in the Pineapple Grove Arts District of downtown and will include 141 rooms and suites, three restaurants, a rooftop pool and lounge and a glass-enclosed events space.
