Harry Reid Airport (formerly McCarran Airport) in Las Vegas set a monthly record for passenger traffic in June.

Nearly 4.7 million passengers arrived or departed during the month, a 23% increase from June 2021, according to the Clark County Department of Aviation.

The previous monthly high number was 4.6 million in October 2019.

Helping to boost the count were more than 244,000 international passengers in June. That represents a 1.6% increase from May and about five times the number in June 2021, when many international travel restrictions were still in place.

So far in 2022, 24.2 million have passed through the airport, a 52.4% increase from last year.
