The Mob Museum in downtown Las Vegas has added a seasonal outdoor lounge, entertainment and event venue.
The 7,700-square-foot Starlight Plaza, designed with breeze-block and midcentury influences, features shades of green, pink and gold, which the museum said are meant to reflect desert modernism and the palettes of classic Strip resorts.
Eight mixed-media murals, created by Derek Douglas (professionally known as Snipt) of Las Vegas, celebrate the legacies of Tom Jones, Liberace, Lena Horne and members of the Rat Pack.

Other themes include gambling, boxing, the Mint 400 off-road race that takes place outside the city each March and Fremont Street's Glitter Gulch, the old casino that was home to the legendary Vegas Vickie neon sign.
A sign created by famed neon company Yesco completes the space.
"Every detail of the Starlight Plaza has been designed to channel the energy of vintage Las Vegas," said Ashley Miller, vice president of marketing, communication and sales for the Mob Museum. "From the cocktails to the music to the art, guests will feel transported to an era when the city first captured the world's imagination."

The plaza's beverage program includes signature cocktails and mocktails. The Golden Age Menu, available for a limited time, features classic cocktails, beer and wines for $5 between 5 and 7 p.m.
"We wanted the menu to lean into drinks, flavors and the spirit of the era while remaining authentic to the hospitality capital of the world," said Clint Thoman, the museum's senior director of food and beverage.
The plaza, which seats 56 but can accommodate 499 for special events, is open from noon to 9 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays. Guests of all ages are welcome until 5 p.m.; only those older than 21 are permitted after that.
