Every season is the season for fresh residency announcements on the Las Vegas Strip, and this week brings two new ones.
First up is Britney Spears, the pop icon whose debut hit turned 20 last week, who is following up her four-year run at Planet Hollywood with a new show at Park MGM.
Spears wrapped up "Piece of Me" with a sold-out New Year's Eve performance that reportedly brought in $1,172,000 at the box office, a record-setting sum for a concert residency. "Britney: Domination" will launch in February at the Park Theater, and tickets for 32 shows through August start at $79 and are on sale now.
Also launching in February is Lady Antebellum's "Our Kind of Vegas" residency at the Palms. The Country Music Award's Vocal Group of the Year will perform a stripped-down show for their first Vegas residency, with the songwriters behind their hits often joining the Grammy-winning trio onstage.
"Las Vegas has always been a special place for us both personally and as a band," said singer Hillary Scott. "I've celebrated my birthday in Vegas and we won our first award ever as Lady A at the [Academy of Country Music] Awards. So we are looking forward to making it our second home, bringing along some of our friends from Nashville and creating a show unlike we've ever put together before."
Tickets for Lady Antebellum at the Palms start at $35 and go on sale Nov. 2.
