A herd of 26 life-size baby elephant statues will be displayed in Resorts World Las Vegas starting Memorial Day weekend, part of an effort to raise awareness of and support for wild elephants.

Elephant Parade, an initiative that started in the Netherlands in 2007, worked with Resorts World's partners and other notable brands to design some of the painted elephants. Themes include Betty Boop, the Big Lebowski and Cesar Millan.

At the exhibition's conclusion, expected to be around Labor Day weekend, the expertly painted statues will be auctioned to benefit elephant welfare programs. In addition to the art pieces on display, Resorts World will sell select miniature replicas of the elephants in various retail stores.
