The Sheraton Miami Airport Hotel & Executive Meeting Center has completed a $10 million renovation, including all guestrooms, the lobby, pool deck and the entryway of the property.
The 405-room property is the closest hotel to Miami Airport and has pedestrian access to both the airport and the Miami Intermodal Center, a transportation hub provides direct connections to South Beach and Brickell.
The hotel's pool, which overlooks the Miami River and Melreese Golf Course, has been transformed into a resort-like experience with native plants, luxurious fabrics and a range of seating options. An adjacent sand-area installation gives a nod to the nearby beach.
The guestrooms feature a primarily neutral palette paired with eclectic furniture pieces and patterns in the form of a custom textile headboard and carefully placed touches of color. Rooms also feature updated bathrooms, oversize work desks with Herman Miller ergonomic chairs and conveniently placed electrical outlets.
Additional perks include a 24-hour Club Lounge, fitness center, preferred rates at Melreese Golf course and complimentary 24-hour airport shuttle. Rates start at $159; the hotel currently is offering a 20% discount on room, dinner and valet parking.
