The Sheraton Suites Key West will rebrand in June under a new name, the Barbary Beach House Key West.
An "extensive top to bottom conversion" will transform the 184-room resort "into a lush, tropical haven," according to owners DiamondRock Hospitality.
In the re-do, guestrooms and suites will be dressed in rustic reclaimed wood, whitewashed accents, a warm marine color palette and contemporary amenities, DiamondRock said.
The property is across Roosevelt Boulevard from Smathers Beach, the chief beach area in Key West, and is adjacent to the Key West International Airport. There is a complimentary shuttle service to Duval Street.
With a clear view to the ocean, the resort is popular for weddings, and the Barbary Beach House will have personnel to coordinate weddings on the beach if desired.
