In New York, it is legend. The club where Jon Stewart got his start when he was just a kid waiting tables. A venue that's been home to Chris Rock, Ray Romano, Sarah Silverman and Amy Schumer. The kind of place where Judd Apatow or Dave Chappelle might step onstage on any given night, where you might spot Colin Quinn at the comedians-only table in the back. The Comedy Cellar has inspired TV shows and earned oral histories in Vanity Fair. And it is coming to Las Vegas.

On April 5, the Comedy Cellar will debut inside the Rio, bringing a bit of Greenwich Village — low ceilings, brick walls, stained glass — to a 300-seat theater inside the Flamingo Road casino-hotel.

"It will be just like coming to the New York Comedy Cellaronly in Vegas," said owner Noam Dworman in a statement. "The Comedy Cellar at Rio will feature the same best-in-the-world comics and the same iconic feel as in New York. The only difference is that in Vegas, you'll be able to get in."

The upcoming lineup includes Judah Friedlander (April 18), Dov Davidoff (April 25) and rising talents of the comedy world.

"Our showcase format features five headliner-level comics, each doing their best 15-20 minutes. These are headliners you either have heard of — or will hear of soon," said Estee Adoram, the Cellar's legendary talent booker, in a statement.

Tickets are on sale now, starting at $45 for many shows.
