The Tropicana will host the official kickoff of Las Vegas Restaurant Week June 13 with a Summer Cookout planned at Robert Irvine's Public House.
The event is now in its third year and like Restaurant Week itself serves as a fundraiser for the Three Square Food Bank of southern Nevada and its programs to combat hunger in the area.
Chef Robert Irvine, known from television shows like "Restaurant: Impossible," will host an evening of specialty drinks and summer-inspired dishes from a variety of Tropicana restaurants, including Irvine's Public House, Red Lotus Asian Kitchen and Oakville Steakhouse.
The event costs $100 for VIP early entry at 6 p.m., which includes a meet and greet with Irvine, and $50 for general admission at 7 p.m. The event runs until 10 p.m. and is open to guests 21 and older.
Las Vegas Restaurant Week, now in its 13th year, will run from June 17 to 28.
