The good old days are back again April 14 to 17 when Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend invades the desert, bringing victory rolls, doo wop bands, classic cars and burlesque competitions.

Now in its 19th year, the four-day fest is a celebration of all things rockabilly, from tiki pool parties and pin-up contests to concerts and the annual classic car show, where more than 800 pre-1964 rides will be on display for your gawking pleasure. Also on appearing at the popular event on April 16 will be burlesque star Dita Von Teese, known for her signature red lips and raven hair and for performing inside an oversized martini glass.

Viva Las Vegas brings vintage cards, clothes and entertainment to the city.

When you’re not playing burlesque bingo or listening to a live band, you can score some new ink at the Sailor Jerry Tattoo Lounge, pick up pomade from one of the Viva Las Vegas vendors or take a dance lesson in preparation for the next musical performance. It’s all about the old-school at this Vegas festival. That means leather jackets are a yes, Apple watches not so much.

Tickets for the full festival are $150 and often sell out. Tickets for the car show alone are $30 and can be purchased at the event or at vivalasvegas.net/tickets.
