Singers, musicians and others in the Las Vegas entertainment community have collaborated on an original song and video, "Needing Each Other," part of an effort to raise money for out-of-work entertainers during the pandemic.
Written and produced by Keith Thompson and co-produced by Alan and Kathi Glist of Glist Entertainment, the song is accompanied by a video featuring messages of hope, optimism and solidarity from entertainers and athletes.
About 50 Las Vegas singers and 20 musicians performed "Needing Each Other," which can be seen on YouTube. Each performer recorded their part of the song and message remotely.

Keith Thompson
Thompson, who was musical director of the Las Vegas company of "Jersey Boys," is founder/host of the Composers Showcase at the Smith Center in downtown Las Vegas. Glist Entertainment is producer of "Menopause the Musical," among other Vegas productions.
Hundreds of performers and others in the arts and entertainment community have been forced off stage since the Strip went dark in mid-March. To help them, Thompson set up a donation fund through the nonprofit Composers Showcase website. About $20,000 has been raised through May 7.
