The W Fort Lauderdale has completed the hotel's public spaces and guestrooms portion of its seven-month, $55 million renovation, resulting in what general manager Anna MacDiarmid expects to be "the best product in Fort Lauderdale."
The overhaul touches every part of the guest experience, including the refit of all 430 guestrooms and most of the 171 residences, the lobby and the hotel's ocean-facing pool deck.
The final phase of the renovation will come to completion in 2017 which will also add a second Stephen Starr restaurant, sushi bar, and a 4,000-square-foot ballroom that will bring the meetings space up to 40,000 square feet. The design by Meyer Davis is clean and crisp, according to the hotel.
