Following two well-received productions, Spiegelworld is adding a third show on the Las Vegas Strip: the "Atomic Saloon Show" at the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian.

It bills itself as "Blazing Saddles" meets "America's Got Talent" meets "Westworld." An international cast of comic actors, variety acts and acrobats provide a new adults-only vision of the Wild West.

As the story goes, the government has acquired Madam Boozy Skunkton's first hotel with plans to turn it into an atomic bomb test site. Decades later, she has returned, collecting the "most abnormally sexy but sensationally amoral" troupe to create the world's greatest saloon show.

Characters in this alternately bawdy and beautiful saloon include: a sexy Russian barmaid with seductive hula-hoop skills; a kitchen hand who's a pole dancer; the local mayor who gets rid of his suit for a hand-balancing act; Mr. and Mrs. O'Calamity, Irish folk dancers who also happen to be "pioneers of polka-punk"; an Italian acrobat known as the Abdominal Outlaw (a finalist in the 2018 "Spain's Got Talent"), more known for his six-pack than his six-shooter, who is a master of the aerial pole; and a sexy cowboy who sings for a shot of whiskey.

The production premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe earlier this month.

Spiegelworld has been creating immersive entertainment experiences since 2006, with a spiegeltent (a large traveling tent) village in the shadow of the Brooklyn Bridge. "Absinthe," opened in 2011 at Caesars Palace, is a lusty reimagining of late-19th-century Europe cabarets with circus, burlesque and vaudeville acts for 21st-century audiences. It recently topped Las Vegas Weekly's list of greatest shows in Las Vegas history.

Spiegelworld has also staged "Opium," another adults-only show, at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas since March 2018. An otherworldly crew of performers on a rocket ship take audiences on a wild space ride from, not incidentally, Uranus to Las Vegas.

Preview performances of the "Atomic Saloon Show" will begin Sept. 8. Showtimes are at 8 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays and 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Thursdays to Sundays. Tickets start at $68 and are on sale at Spiegelworld.com.
