Award-winning Germans, a California master and a coveted red named Maya. They're all heading to the Wynn in 2019 for the Winemaker Dinner Series, a new, recurring event that pairs renowned vintners with resort chefs for exclusive one-night-only meals.
The series kicked off this month with French winemaker Christian Moueix pouring vintages of Chateau La Fleur-Petrus accompanied by a meal from SW Steakhouse executive chef David Walzog. The series will continue with monthly events hosted at restaurants across the resort.
On Feb. 6, Dalla Valle Vineyards founder Naoko Dalla Valle and director Maya Dalla Valle will host the second event at SW Steakhouse, pouring the Napa vineyard's coveted Maya 2015 vintage, which boasts a long waitlist and will be available for purchase at the event. On March 29, Lakeside restaurant will host an evening wine seminar and tasting with Justin Vineyards master sommelier Joseph Spellman. Guests will try their hand at blending to replicate the flavor of the vineyard's famed Isosceles wine. Finally, in April, German winemaker Erni Loosen will bring a selection of his award-winning rieslings for a dinner and tasting at Wing Lei.
The events range in price from $195 to $495. For more information or to make a reservation, call 702-770-7070.
