Allegiant Air has secured naming rights for the football
stadium under construction in Las Vegas, which will be home to the Las Vegas
Raiders NFL franchise beginning in 2020.
Located across Interstate 15 from Mandalay Bay Resort and
Casino, the domed stadium will have a capacity of 65,000. It will be called
Allegiant Stadium.
In a statement, Allegiant chairman Maury Gallagher called
the branding agreement "an incredibly exciting opportunity" for the
Las Vegas-based discount carrier.
"It will not only amplify our growing brand as the only
U.S. airline focused on leisure travel and experiences but will also provide
access to NFL games and special opportunities for fans across the country,"
he said.
Allegiant flies 55 nonstop routes to Las Vegas.
