American Airlines has reinstated a second beverage service on domestic flights longer than 1,500 miles, ending a pause that began with the pandemic.
"These changes incorporate customer feedback and insights, ensuring the airline is adding even more value to the customers' journey," the carrier said.
American also said it added a pre-meal beverage service for select international flights departing before 9:01 p.m.
The changes are in addition to other recent adjustments American has made to improve its onboard experience. For example, the airline announced on May 1 that it is testing afternoon tea across all cabins on flights from London and Paris. And, American replaced LeCroix Lime sparkling water with LeCroix Limoncello based on a vote by customers and employees.
A bigger change is slated for next January, when American enables free WiFi for AAdvantage members across most of its fleet.
