Avelo is expanding service from Connecticut

Avelo Airlines will expand its New Haven, Conn., base this spring with four new routes.

Flights from New Haven to Atlanta; Charlotte; Destin-Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; and Knoxville, Tenn.; will begin in May.

The discount carrier will fly four times weekly form New Haven to Atlanta beginning May 2. Also that day, Avelo will commence twice-weekly flights from New Haven to Charlotte's secondary airport, Concord-Padgett. Avelo will be just the second carrier operating at Concord-Padgett, joining Allegiant.

Avelo will begin twice-weekly flights from New Haven to Knoxville on May 9. 

Twice-weekly service from New Haven to Destin-Fort Walton Beach will launch May 17. 

With the new routes, Avelo will offer service to 21 destinations from New Haven.
