Delta Air Lines and SAS -- the flag carrier for Denmark, Norway and Sweden -- have signed a codeshare agreement to take effect Sept. 25.

The agreement comes as a result of SAS joining SkyTeam on Sept. 1.

The codeshare agreement will improve connection opportunities for customers flying between North America and Scandinavia and will offer reciprocal codeshare and frequent flyer benefits, including the ability to earn and redeem Delta SkyMiles or SAS EuroBonus points across each carrier, according to SAS.
