Delta announced new and expanded service to the Caribbean and Bermuda from JFK and LaGuardia, in response to increased demand for service out of New York, according to the carrier.

New service includes a year-round Saturday flight between JFK and St. Maarten and a daily year-round flight between LaGuardia and Bermuda.

Daily, year-round nonstops, upped from Saturday seasonal flights, are now in effect between JFK and Montego Bay, Jamaica; Aruba; and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Delta is part of a $1.2 billion project to expand JFK's Terminal 4 by one-third. The new facility is scheduled to open next spring.

In addition to the JFK expansion, the carrier is investing $160 million to modernize and connect Terminals C and D at LaGuardia with work on a connector bridge that is expected to be completed by the end of the month.
