Delta Air Lines will expand its service to Alaska this summer as part of its pandemic strategy to focus more on outdoor-oriented destinations.
The carrier will launch new daily service to Anchorage from Salt Lake City on May 5 and weekend service to Anchorage from Detroit, Los Angeles and New York JFK on May 28.

In addition, Delta will resume service between Atlanta and Anchorage and increase service to Anchorage from Seattle and Minneapolis.
Delta will also launch daily service from Salt Lake City to Fairbanks on May 5 and will increase Fairbanks service from Seattle and Minneapolis.
Seasonal routes from Seattle to Juneau, Sitka and Ketchikan will resume on Memorial Day weekend.
Delta is the second-largest carrier in the Alaska-to-contiguous-U.S. market behind Alaska Airlines, Cirium data shows.
