Flight-booking systems on Delta and American remained down midafternoon, while United's booking system was up and running again after being down earlier Monday afternoon.

The outages were reported by Downdetector.com, a website that tracks online and social media outage reports.
Reuters, citing anonymous sources, said the sources of the outages appeared to be ITA, a Google-run back-end system that some airlines use to support bookings.
