JetBlue will fly to Barcelona and Milan next summer. The daily seasonal routes, both from Boston, will launch on April 16 to Barcelona and May 11 to Milan. Bookings open Nov. 20.
JetBlue will operate the routes with Airbus A321 narrowbody aircraft. The planes are equipped with an an economy cabin and a lie-flat business-class cabin featuring the carrier's Mint suites.
JetBlue will compete with year-round Boston-Barcelona service by Iberia, Cirium flight schedule data shows, and with Delta's summer seasonal service on both routes, which launched this year.
With the additions of Barcelona and Milan, JetBlue will fly to nine European destinations from Boston next summer. The others are seasonal routes to Dublin, Edinburgh, Madrid and London Gatwick, as well as year-round flights to Amsterdam, London Heathrow and Paris Charles de Gaulle.
