JetBlue has begun offering a personalized experience within its seatback entertainment system.
The platform, called Blueprint by JetBlue, will be available on the carrier's Airbus A321neo, A321LR and A220 planes, as well as on most of its A320s that have been reconfigured with the carrier's modern interiors. The rollout has begun, and completion expected next month.
Among the features is the ability for flyers to pick up a film or TV show where they left off from a previous flight, within a six-month period. The platform also provides personalized content recommendations based on the flyer's previous viewing history. In addition, travelers can save film and TV show selections to watch on future flights. And they can save settings such as volume, language, parental controls and closed-caption preferences to be carried over from flight to flight.
Blueprint also offers a feature called Watch Party, which allows up to six people to watch a program or a film at the exact same time, with play and pause controlled on all linked screens.
Flyers don't have to sign in to use Blueprint, but for settings to be carried over from flight to flight, they must provide their name and date of birth. JetBlue said stored information will not be shared or used for other purposes.
Along with entertainment offerings, the system enables flyers to access information about their connecting flights and gates; make meal selections in the business class Mint cabins of Airbus A321neos and sign up for the TrueBlue loyalty program.
