The TSA has reduced the price of enrollment and in-person renewal for PreCheck.
The trusted-traveler program now has a five-year enrollment cost of $78, down from $85. In-person re-enrollment also has dropped to $78. Online renewal remains $70.
The PreCheck program has more than 500 enrollment centers across the country. Following an in-person enrollment appointment, most applicants receive their known traveler number within three to five days, TSA says.
In October, 91% of PreCheck passengers waited less than five minutes at airport security checkpoints, according to TSA data.
