United Airlines will add more than 480 daily flights to its domestic schedule in June, bringing its total number of daily domestic departures to more than 3,100.
The increase will put the Chicago-based carrier at 67% of its June 2019 domestic schedule and 60% of its total June 2019 flying.

As with its competitors, United will focus the build-up on summer leisure destinations. Among the new routes the airline will introduce in June are Hawaii service from Chicago O'Hare to Kona on the Big Island and from Newark to Maui. United is the only carrier that has announced service on those routes. United will also launch an intra-Alaska service between Fairbanks and Anchorage. And it will debut service from its Mountain West hub in Denver to West Yellowstone, Mont. Yellowstone Airport, which is located just two miles from the eponymous park, is currently served only from Salt Lake City by Delta, the airport's website says.
United said it will fly more than 500 daily flights in June to 66 national park gateways.
Despite the build-up, United is still planning a more conservative schedule than key competitors. Southwest plans to fly 96% of its prepandemic capacity in June, while American plans to fly 90% of its pre-pandemic seat capacity in the third quarter.
