United Airlines plans to resume service this fall to Tel Aviv from Chicago O'Hare and Washington Dulles, ending route suspensions that commenced with the beginning of the Gaza war between Hamas and Israel in October 2023.
Chicago-Tel Aviv will operate four times weekly beginning Nov. 1, and Dulles-Tel Aviv will operate three times weekly beginning Nov. 2. United will be the only airline connecting those cities.
The flights will augment United's lone current service to Israel -- twice-daily service from Newark.
Prior to the Gaza war, United also flew daily between San Francisco and Tel Aviv.
