Avis Rent A Car has launched a service that
will provide customers with electronic rental receipts, eliminating
the need to keep track of paper receipts while on the road and
offering ease in obtaining a new receipt if the need should ever
arise.
The new
"e-Receipts" program is offered to customers who have provided Avis
with an e-mail address in their rental profile. Customer must also
be in enrolled in Avis Wizard, a free membership program that uses
the renters profile information for ease in bookings.
While customers
will still receive a paper receipt when the rental vehicle is
checked in, an e-Receipt record of the rental transaction is
automatically e-mailed to the renter within 24 hours from the time
of the vehicle's return. In addition, if customers need another
copy of a receipt, they can visit the Avis.com Web site and access
a log of their rental receipts and print them out from their own
computer.
"We are always
looking for ways to enhance the productivity of our business
travelers and make leisure travel more convenient," said Becky
Alseth, senior vice president of marketing for Avis Budget Group,
parent of Avis, in a statement.
