Eco-luxury brand 1 Hotels plans to open properties in
Mexico, China and California by the end of 2019.
The brand intends to open a 280-room hotel at Haitang Bay in
Sanya, China, late next year. The property will feature an on-site farm that
will supply the resort's restaurants with fruits and vegetables.

1 Hotels also is developing a resort in Cabo San Lucas on
what 1 Hotels says is Cabo's only year-round swimmable beach. The 1 Hotel &
Homes Cabo, scheduled to open in the fall of 2019, will have 115 hotel rooms as
well as 50 residences.
Also, an existing hotel in California's Silicon Valley is
being redeveloped into the 1 Hotel Sunnyvale. Projected opening is late 2019.
The hotel will be located near Google's headquarters in Mountain View and about
40 miles southeast of San Francisco. The hotel will have 332 guestrooms, a spa
and 19,000 square feet of meeting space.
1 Hotels, which touts its health-driven approach and
sustainability via the use of repurposed materials and locally sourced food for
its restaurants, openedits first property in Miami and its second in mid-town
Manhattan in 2015. 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge opens Feb. 16.
