Robert Santucci, a former Marriott International and
Starwood Hotels executive, has started a boutique hotel collection called
RockStar Hotels, which launched earlier this month with 40 properties.
RockStar properties include Italy's 95-room Armani Hotel
Milano, Spain's 183-room Gran Melia Palacio los Duques; and France's 48-room
Saint James Paris. The group also has hotels in Croatia, the Czech Republic,
Greece and Portugal.
The name doesn't reference any musical focus amid the
properties, but instead the concept that guests will be treated like "rock
stars."
