AccorHotels has acquired a 50% stake in South Africa-based
Mantis Group, marking the Paris-based company's expanding presence in the
luxury-resort market.
Mantis specializes in
overseeing ultra-luxury resorts such as South Africa's Founders Lodge game
reserve and the South Atlantic Ocean island property Mantis St. Helena.
The company also manages London's Draycott Hotel as well as
the Zambezi Queen Collection of branded luxury houseboats. Mantis
Group's ski lodges include France's Le Chardon Mountain Lodges.
