Greg Greeley
Airbnb has hired longtime Amazon.com executive Greg Greeley
to be the first president of its core Homes division.
Greeley, who joined Amazon in 1999 after stints with Sun
Microsystems and United Airlines, helped launch Amazon Prime in 2005. He became
vice president of the division in 2013.
Greeley is the first major Airbnb hire since it announced
new property categories, properties with higher vetting standards, a luxury
vacation division and a loyalty program in late February.
Airbnb said last year that it would split the company into
four divisions: Home, Trips, Lux and China. The company doesn't disclose what
percentage of its annual revenue is through home bookings.
