The Ames Boston Hotel has built the Bobby Orr Suite in
tribute to the National Hockey League Hall of Famer and former Boston Bruin defenseman.
Geared for hockey enthusiasts, the corner suite has two
bolted-down wooden seats from the old Boston Garden, hockey sticks mounted
above the bed, a banquet shaped like a penalty box and vinyl flooring colored
to look like a hockey rink.
Filled with dozens of pieces of Bobby Orr and Boston Bruins
memorabilia, the suite also has a light fixture in the shape of a mini Boston
Bruins scoreboard, a "golden skate" hologram embedded in the hallway
mirror, a wall with inspirational quotes from Orr, and a replica of a wooden
locker from Boston Garden.
It's all done in the black-and-gold Boston Bruins color
scheme.

The Bobby Orr Suite has two seats from the old Boston Garden, which was demolished in 1998.
The suite was part of a $6 million hotel renovation.
A portion of the proceeds from the suite's bookings will go
to the Bobby Orr Hall of Fame interactive museum in Orr's hometown of Parry
Sound, Ontario.
Orr played for the Bruins from 1966 to 1976, led them to
Stanley Cup championships in 1970 and 1972, and won the National Hockey League's
Hart Trophy for most valuable player for three straight seasons ending in 1972.
He was inducted into the National Hockey League Hall of Fame in 1979.
The Ames Boston is part of Hilton's Curio collection.
