The Circa Resort & Casino in downtown Las Vegas has
pushed up its opening to Oct. 28, roughly two months ahead of schedule, but the
Circa’s hotel rooms will open later in the year.
On Oct. 28, the Circa plans to open its two-story casino (1,350
slot machines and 49 table games) and its three-story, stadium-style
sportsbook. The property’s pool amphitheater (six pools, two spas and a 14 million-pixel
screen that will air sporting events) will also be open.
Restaurants due to open include Saginaw’s Delicatessen,
steakhouse venue Barry’s Downtown Prime, sports bar Victory Burger & Wings
Co., and Carolina-style barbecue joint Project BBQ. The Asian-inspired 8 East is
expected to follow in December.
The nine-floor parking garage, called the Garage Mahal, will
also open in October. The complex will offer valet and self-parking, as well as
a first floor for Uber and Lyft transportation.
The 777-room Circa will be the first new hotel to open in
downtown Las Vegas in nearly four decades.
Circa hasn’t announced an opening date for its hotel tower
even though it plans to start taking reservations on June 24. Circa said it
expects to open hotel rooms before the end of the year.
