Disney has revealed shopping and dining components of the
highly-anticipated Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge park area, which is scheduled to
open at California's Disneyland Resort this summer and at Disney's Hollywood
Studios in Orlando in the fall.
Guests can build their own custom lightsaber at Savi's Workshop
and create their own droid at the Droid Depot. Visitors can also purchase
intergalactic souvenirs at Bina's Creature Stall and Dok-Ondar's Den of
Antiquities.
Shopping and dining at Galaxy's Edge
Disney has concurrently unveiled a selection of food and
beverage options at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: Ronto Roasters, Docking Bay 7
Food and Cargo and Oga's Cantina, among other themed eateries. Dishes and
drinks will be inspired by the Star Wars universe, with menus featuring unique
offerings like non-dairy Blue and Green Milk beverages; a Ronto Wrap made
with sausage, roasted pork and a cabbage slaw; and Fried Endorian Tip-Yip,
which features chicken, roasted vegetable mash and herb gravy.
Alcoholic beverages will also be available, including
signature cocktails like the Bloody Rancor, which is accompanied by an edible
bone garnish.
Notably, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will be the first Disney
park designed to offer an immersive integration with the Play Disney Parks
mobile app. When in use within the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge area, the app will
automatically activate a Star Wars mode, enabling guests to translate languages
and signs, hack droids and send messages to characters.
