Walt Disney World is testing a fleet of driverless shuttles that would help transport guests around the Florida theme parks and resorts, reports the Los Angeles Times.

Disney is in "late-stage negotiation" with two manufacturers of driverless or autonomous shuttles: Phoenix-based Local Motors and Parisian company Navya.

The plan is to initiate a pilot program this year that would transport employees in the driverless vehicles, and then begin transporting park visitors in the shuttles sometime next year, the Los Angeles Times said.
