Puerto Rico's landmark El San Juan Hotel, a property in
Hilton's Curio Collection, will reopen Dec. 14 after being closed more than a
year due to damage sustained during Hurricane Maria.
The 388-room hotel, originally opened in 1958, is undergoing
an extensive renovation that includes restoration of the property's original
design elements such as its mahogany-walled lobby and hand-blown chandelier.

Its guestrooms, villas and suites were all renovated with
both historic and modern design, the hotel said.
Located on San Juan's Isla Verde Beach, El San Juan has four
pools, several bars and restaurants, a nightclub, and a new tri-level fitness
center.
