Equinox Hotels is making a foray into the Caribbean, unveiling plans for the Equinox Resort Anguilla Port Nimara.
The resort will be part of the Port Nimara marina development on Anguilla's southwest coast, between the island's Cap Juluca and Altamer estates. The project's 118-berth marina will be designed for vessels up to 240 feet and will operate as a port of entry, with customs and immigration clearance.
There will be 62 resort accommodations and 35 Equinox residences. Plans call 18 oceanfront villas and 18 upland villas.
The resort will have an Equinox Club fitness club, a Spa by Equinox Hotels and an all-day dining restaurant. A promenade with restaurants and bars will connect the marina with the hotel and beach.
The property will be the second Equinox hotel, following the 2019 debut of the Equinox Hotel New York. The hotel business is an offshoot of the Equinox luxury fitness brand.
